The days of fumbling for change on the bus could soon be numbered after the UK Cards Association revealed plans to install contactless payments technology across all public transport in the UK.

Bus and rail operators are joining forces with card issuers to aid passenger convenience by embracing the swipe system, which has helped reduce queuing and speed journey times in the capital.
