Gareth Jones, group retail and strategy director at Shop Direct, has been promoted to deputy chief executive.
He will continue to hold responsibility for e-commerce, customer intelligence, marketing, trading and creative at the Shop Direct brands, including Very and Littlewoods.

Yahoo has appointed the Washington Post’s Kevin Gentzel to join its team as head of advertising sales for North America.
