'Periscope Periscope' – interactive installation turns Twitter's live steam feeds into art
An art exhibition which allows viewers to watch curated feeds from Twitter’s live-streaming app, Periscope, has been unveiled in London today (16 October)
The 12-foot high periscope, created by DigitasLB, is made of galvanised steel air ducting and contains a software which pulls specially selected Periscope streams from the micro-blogging site.
An Arduino-powered compass detects the periscope’s movement, changing the displayed feed as the device is rotated.
A team of creatives and technologists from the agency created the product in partnership with production expert Ben Day.
