Periscope shakes things up with drone and search capabilities

As Facebook Live continues to gain ground, Twitter-owned Periscope has rolled out a number of new features to entice live video enthusiasts to the platform.

Over the next few weeks, Periscope will unveil a number of new capabilities for users, including the ability to broadcast from DJI drones. To do this, users can connect their iPhones to their drone’s remote, and Periscope will automatically pull in the drone’s video feed.

When livestreaming, users can use Periscope’s ‘Sketch’ tool to highlight different sights that the drone is filming.
