Pitch update: Heinz, Twitter and Travel Republic
The agencies still in contention for Heinz s European creative account have narrowed to three: Bartle Bogle Hegarty, J Walter Thompson and Leo Burnett. Several shops including all Omnicom ones had refused to compete because of the food company s 97-day wait for payment and the way it plans to decouple production from the creative agency.
But now Campaign hears a dreaded e-auction bidding process has been introduced, making the remaining agencies concerned about a race to the bottom on payment. The pitch is being run by The Haystack Group.
