Portlandia duo accelerate Subaru partnership with comedy web sketches
The creators of alterative US sketch show Portlandia have created a four-part web series to promote show partner Subaru.
Bringing to life his Talkative Driver character, Armisen irritates his passengers with a slew of ceaseless questions while, naturally, driving a Subaru.
The Japanese auto firm has been partnered with the show since its second season.
Blake Callaway, executive vice president of marketing and digital media at comedy broadcaster IFC told Adweek: “This year we wanted to evolve the partnership a little bit, do we went to the writer’s room and created this first standalone web series.”
