Barack and Michelle Obama will both take part in keynotes this year at SXSW, marking the first time a current president and first lady are participating in the event.

President Obama will sit down with the CEO and editor-in-chief of The Texas Tribune Evan Smith on Friday, March 11 for a SXSW Interactive keynote conversation about “civic engagement in the 21st century.”

On March 16, Michelle Obama will help kick off SXSW Music with an opening keynote where she’ll discuss her ‘Let Girls Learn’ initiative, which helps girls all around the world attend and complete school.
