Princess Diana gave phone-hacking trial defendant Clive Goodman Royal phone directories, court hears
A Royal phone directory possessed by a defendant in the phone-hacking trial came from Princess Diana, a court heard today.
Clive Goodman, the former Royal editor of the News of the World, denied prosecution claims that he had bribed corrupt police officers to secure the contact details of senior members of the Royal family, stating instead that the princess had given them to him in order to demonstrate that large numbers of the Royal household were against her.
