Sainsbury's reveals details of new 'mission-based' store design
Sainsbury’s has revealed the details of a new store design format it is set to trial in six of its supermarkets as it continues efforts to save £500m over three years.
The design involves a ‘mission-based’ layout to reflect changes in shopping habits such as a new ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store next to the checkouts. The retailer has also moved its fresh bakery products to this section to make it more convenient for people wanting to buy fresh products quickly.
