Samsung’s most senior mobile marketer steps down after lasting a month
Samsung has confirmed that Kim will step down, according to a Reuters report yesterday (3 Feb). Lee Sang-chul, former head of Samsung Mobile in Russia, will replace Kim just over a month after his appointment, according to the report.
Kim, who overlooked the brand’s global smartphone division, replaced D.J. Lee for the role in December 2014 after a marketing reshuffle.
The current change in the role is said to be due to Kim’s ill health, which may leave room for the former-executive to return in the near future, according to Reuters.
