Saturday Night Live parody pokes fun at America’s gun obsession

Hit US sketch show Saturday Night Live has poked fun at America’s obsession with guns with a parody public service announcement designed to satirise firearm ubiquity in the country.
Following a succession of mass shootings the show uses humour to tackle a sensitive issue by depicting host Amy Schumer in a variety of guises whilst interacting with a succession of guns.
This includes caressing receiving a gift wrapped handgun from her boyfriend at a romantic meal and a woman clutching a rifle as she is about to give birth.
