IN a shambles at the Oscars last night hosted by Jimmy Kimmel Moonlight won best picture after it was mistakenly announced that La La Land had won.

“La La Land” producers’ were making congratulatory speeches when it was realized a mistake had been made and that “Moonlight” was the actual Oscar winner. The speeches were halted.

Presenter Faye Dunaway, onstage with Warren Beatty, read what turned out to be the wrong winner. She announced that La La Land won, to walk away with its seventh win of the night .
