Skittles Mother’s Day ad documents a man’s uncomfortably close maternal bond
Mars-owned confectionary brand Skittles has underlined the connection we share with our mother in crass fashion with an ad showing an odd duo eating the snack in the most unconventional of ways.
The 30 seconds ‘Umbilical’ spot, as the title suggests, shows a grown man taste Skittles via his fleshy and unholy bond with his mother.
Having been fed the nutrient intake afforded by Skittles, the son character is able to guess the colour of each mouthful, offering a twisted take on the Taste the Rainbow mantra.
