Sky strikes deal with Disney to show Star Wars: The Force Awakens on TV first
Sky has agreed terms with Disney in a deal which will make it the first UK broadcaster to offer Star Wars: The Force Awakens through its paid-for box-office offering.
The deal continues the 25 year-long relationship between the two companies and will give Sky exclusive rights to what is pitted as the most eagerly-awaited film of the decade.
The multi-year TV agreement includes a raft of other top Disney films such as Pixar’s Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur as well as a string of Marvel Studios superhero films.
