Slump in design standards spark calls for industry kite mark

A warning that the UK design industry is under threat from inconsistent quality control has been issued at the London Design Festival, prompting demands for an industry kite mark to uphold standards.
Fearing a diminution in status brought on by a spate of self-employed bedroom ‘designers’ entering the market a white paper argues that the time is now nigh for a ‘single, iconic design quality mark’.
