Sony denies data breach as its PlayStation Network is taken offline following cyber attack
Sony has denied that its PlayStation Network and Entertainment Network was subject to a data breach after it was forced offline by a DDoS attack on Sunday 24 August.
It took several hours for Sony to correct the issue to the service, which may have also affected those attempting to access online games such as Path of Exile, after it was attacked by a group called The Lizard Squad.
