The Gate Films launches dedicated animation arm: Pen Animation
The Gate Films has continued its expansion with the creation of Pen Animation, a dedicated animation arm.
The division, based in Edinburgh, will focus on producing animated commercials, music videos and innovative online content, and will initially be staffed by a team of four.
Explaining the move, Simon Lewis, CEO at The Gate Films, said: “We’ve had an in-house team of animators in Edinburgh for several years, working with clients from Creative Scotland to Jura Whisky, but have noticed a gap in the market recently for the kind of director roster we’ve now assembled.
