Troll who called Gerry and Kate McCann ‘evil, conniving’ found dead in hotel
Twitter troll Brenda Leyland, who was last week confronted on camera by Sky News, has been found dead in a hotel room, in an apparent suicide.
The 63-year-old, who tweeted under the username @sweepyface, had tweeted messages since November 2013 which blamed Gerry and Kate McCann for the disappearance of their daughter Madeline while the family was on holiday.
The series of messages sent by Leyland said that the duo would be ‘hated by millions for the rest of your miserable, evil, conniving lives’.
