Twitter finance chief Anthony Noto's account gets hacked
Anthony Noto, Twitter’s chief finance officer, has suffered a mishap on the social network after his account was hacked on Tuesday (10 February).
The executive’s account was compromised by a bot which spammed Twitter users with links to an external website.
A Twitter spokesperson told Bloomberg: “His account was sending spam tweets; we’ve locked the account down and deleted the tweets.”
He refused to confirm whether Noto had signed up for two-step verification – a security measure which would have stopped such a hack in its tracks.
