Twitter’s UK division has promoted sales director Dara Nasr to the role of managing director following the promotion of Bruce Daisley to vice president of direct sales for Europe earlier this year.

Nasr will become Twitter’s most senior person in the UK in the new year. He joined the social network in 2012 to head up the sales team before being elevated to the region’s top commercial role last February.

Prior to Twitter, he was at Google where he was responsible for key agency relationships for YouTube and the online firm’s display inventory.
