WhatsApp, the mobile messaging app owned by Facebook, has reported that it now has 600m active users a month.

Taking a dig at companies who only reveal the number of registered users – and not the number of active users – CEO Jan Koem said: “Now serving 600,000,000 monthly active users. Yes, active and registered are very different types of numbers…”
