World monuments display sign of solidarity for France with red, white and blue lights
Following last night’s terrorist attacks in Paris the world has gone into mourning for the needless loss of life on such a huge scale and in a show of support for France monuments around the world have been illuminated in the colours of the French flag.
As Paris turned off the Eiffel Tower’s lights in a sign of respect and mourning for the tragic loss of more than 120 lives, nations throughout the world displayed their solidarity by lighting up their most famous monuments red, white and blue.
