P&G takes closer step to 'connected bathroom' with smart toothbrush launch

By Jessica Davies Procter & Gamble has used its appearance at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to showcase its first connected toothbrush. The Oral-B SmartSeries 7000, which will be on show at the conference for the week, is designed to connect users’ smartphones via a Bluetooth 4.0 connection in order to receive data on how they are brushing their teeth and assess their oral hygiene. It will then analyse the data and make different suggestions to the user such as how to improve their brushing techniques. Consortium of up to 1,000 US local newspaper and broadcast titles partners with Google to launch 'unique' private ad exchange

By Angela Haggerty A consortium of over 800 US local newspaper and 200 broadcast titles has agreed a three-year deal with Google to launch a “unique” private advertising exchange. LinkedIn connects with China in launch of new Chinese language site

The low key announcement came via a blog post on the site, in which the company said the beta version of the website would offer a more localised service.
