M&S seek ‘best possible service’ as it reviews £60 million media account

By Steven Raeburn The UK media account for high street retail brand Marks and Spencer is under review. The company says it is seeking to partner with an agency that will deliver improved service, following the recent departure of its marketing manager Steven Sharp, who left the company last month. “We regularly review our agencies to ensure we are getting the best possible service,” M&S said in a statement. The incumbent agency on the account is Publicis Media’s Walker Group, which has been invited to enter the tender for the business. Marks and Spencer launches its latest UK campaign on Monday. UK Google tender details leak

By Steven Raeburn Details of a UK-wide tender of Google’s advertising and digital business which has been ongoing since early 2014 have been disclosed. The review, described as ‘standard’, has been underway for some time. Google confirmed that the review’s purpose is “to make sure that we are working with the right agencies to keep developing ideas for Google.” UK incumbents on the account currently include Isobar, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Joint and Adam & Eve/DDB.
