By Ishbel Macleod Air New Zealand has put its advertising account, previously held by Joint, to tender. According to Nielsen, Air New Zealand (ANZ) spent £263,445 on advertising in 2013, with press spend accounting for £177,753 of this. ANZ is best known for sponsorships, which have seen a Hobbit themed safety video featuring stars of the film, as well as a safety video which starred Betty White. In 2012, ANZ appointed Vizeum to handle media planning. The Drum believes that Vizeum will not be affected by the pitching process. The Drum is currently awaiting comment from ANZ.
