By Stephen Lepitak Harriet Harman, Labour’s shadow culture, media and sport secretary, has pledged that the party will aim to improve the way the government works with the advertising industry. Speaking ahead of making a speech at the annual ISBA lunch, Harman described the advertising industry as an £18bn British success story. The party has promised to support the industry, which it claimed generates £6 to the economy for each pound spent and employs around half a million people in some capacity.
