By John Glenday Computer manufacturer HP is facing a PR crisis after issuing a worldwide recall of six million laptop power leads following reports of 29 incidents in which the cable overheated, resulting in melting and charring. The defective charging cable is reported to have led to two people being treated for burns whilst 13 properties have suffered damage as a result, prompting the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to recommend that people discontinue its use.
