Today (29 January), he announced his retirement from the company after two and a half years in the role and 24 years with McDonald’s. The advert signals the launch of two new flavours and is the first stage of the brand’s comprehensive ‘It All Starts with a Kick’ marketing campaign. Created by Keith Schofield at BBDO, the 90 second slot features three friends – including ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ star D-Trix – playing computer games in a dusty basement before sharing a couple of cans of Kickstart together. BBC retains Match of the Day Premier League highlights until 2018

By John McCarthy The BBC has retained the rights to the Barclays Premier League football highlights through to 2018. The show, which is this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, will continue to be broadcast on BBC One on Saturday evenings, followed by its Sunday morning repeat, MOTD2, Football Focus and a new midweek magazine show airing on BBC Two. The whole programming schedule will be available on the BBC iPlayer.
