Sky enters quad-play market with Telefónica UK partnership

By John McCarthy Sky is to open up mobile package deals to its customers in partnership with Telefónica UK. The multi-year deal will grant Sky customers wholesale access to 02’s 2G, 3G and 4G services, with the first mobile deals set to launch in 2016. The move will see Sky enter the market as a quad-play telecom firm, expanding its mobile carrier settings to Sky Go – Europe’s leading mobile TV service with 5.7 million registered users. Argos to open stores in Sainsbury’s in convenience push

By Kaltrina Bylykbashi Ten digital stores will open within existing Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the UK by summer 2015, allowing customers of both brands a choice of over 20,000 non-grocery products which they can order in store via tablets or reserve online for collection at the site. Rovio gaming chief Jami Laes, who worked on mobile games such as Angry Birds, has quit his positon with the company. According to marketing platform Crowdtap, crowdsourcing is a trend that will be seen a lot during Super Bowl XLIX and is a strategy that is here to stay.
