BBC boss sent death threats following Jeremy Clarkson sacking

By Jennifer Faull BBC director general Tony Hall has received death threats and is now under 24 hour surveillance after the sacking of Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson. Scotland Yard is investigating the threats made to Hall and his wife, Cynthia, earlier this week. A spokesman said: “Police in Westminster are investigating an allegation of threats to kill. The allegation was reported to police on Wednesday, March 25.” “Inquiries continue. EasyProperty poised to ink sponsorship deal with Tottenham Hotspur

By Jennifer Faull EasyProperty is set to ink a multi-million pound sponsorship deal with premier league club Tottenham Hotspur. According to the Telegraph, the online letting agency – owned by EasyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou – has been “actively” involved in negotiations to sponsor some of Tottenham Hotspur’s players and parts of the stadium. The deal could also give it access to the logo, pitch-side advertising, hospitality and player access, “as well as getting involved in the local community through one of these clubs,” according to one source. Facebook’s first drone tests a success, says Zuckerberg

By Jennifer Faull Facebook’s first test flights for solar-powered internet drone have been successful, the company’s chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has revealed. The drones are part of Facebook’s internet.org project, which looks to bring connectivity to the two thirds of the global population that currently have no access to the internet. The drones circle an area from an altitude of 60,000 to 90,000 feet and use lasers to beam internet signals to the ground.
