Paypal to pay $7.7m in damages after process transactions related to the purchases of weapons of mass destructions

By Nesh Pillay Paypal, according to the US Department of Treasury, has facilitated the transactions between those who have had US sanctions against them, including Cuba, Iran, Libya, and North Korea. The eBay-owned online payment company has been ordered to pay $7.7m. About $7000 worth of the transactions were behalf of a Turkish man named Kursad Zafar Cire who was blacklisted by the US in 2009 for selling weapons of mass destruction. According to US law, American companies are not to conduct business with anyone on the country’s blacklist. Adidas uses Twitter’s Meerkat-style app to live-stream Real Madrid’s Rodríguez pen new deal

By Seb Joseph Adidas is the first major brand to use Twitter’s newly-launched Meerkat-style service that will see it live stream Real Madrid star James Rodriguez pen a new deal with the Champions League holders. The event is being streamed live from Adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany for fans to watch and comes a day after Twitter unveiled the service, dubbed Periscope. Tesco is the most visible UK supermarket on Pinterest, with Asda and Waitrose hot on its heels

By John McCarthy A study of major UK supermarket chains’ Pinterest presence has found that Tesco’s content is the most ‘Pinned’ material. Supermarket branded recipe ideas were the most shared material on the visual bookmark site, with an Asda recipe for a Penguin-themed festive cake earning more pins than any other supermarket web page. The study, by search and content optimisation firm, Searchmetrics, analysed the visibility of nine leading UK supermarket websites on Pinterest. Tesco topped engagement with the most pins (43,834), followed by Asda with 35,304 and Waitrose with 19,474.
