Hulu to make cable TV debut

The video service is known for providing cable offerings for its viewers, but this is the first time a cable or satellite provider will be offering Hulu. “The partnership with Hulu reflects Cablevision’s desire to meet customers where they are,” said Kristin Dolan, chief operating officer of Cablevision. “There is a new generation of consumers who access video through the Internet, and whatever their preference, Cablevision will facilitate a great content experience.” The service would be equivalent of a Hulu Plus subscription which currently runs at a monthly rate of $8. By Minda Smiley Sheba has rolled out a quirky twenty-second spot to promote its easy-to-serve ‘Perfect Portions Entrees’ cat food, which has been voted by the US Creative Department readers as Ad of the Week. The ad brings to mind Rice Krispies’ iconic ‘Snap, Crackle, and Pop’ slogan, with Sheba employing the phrase ‘Snap, Peel, Slurp, Purr.’ No words are spoken throughout, but the sounds of meows, snaps, purrs and peels make for a lighthearted and catchy beat. Reebok KOs Jon Jones sponsorship following hit-and-run arrest

By John McCarthy Reebok has canned its sponsorship of Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones after his arrest for hit-and-run. Jones, who allegedly fled the scene of an accident in Albuquerque on Sunday, previously said he was “incredibly proud to be a part” of Reebok’s UFC push, but has now been suspended by the body and dropped by the sports brand.
