CM Porter Novelli merges with Pagoda PR to form Pagoda Porter Novelli

By Gillian West Pagoda PR has announced the acquisition of CM Porter Novelli forming a new 20-strong company – Pagoda Porter Novelli. CM Porter Novelli’s Angela Casey will head up the company with Ian Coldwell, formerly managing director of Pagoda PR, taking up the role of deputy chairman, focusing on business strategy and sector expansion. Giselle Dye continues as a director and board member with Anne McMunn, director of CM Porter Novelli, bringing senior counsel and media expertise as an associate director. Watch Tumblr founder David Karp make his debut at Yahoo's NewFront

By Rebecca Stewart Tumblr founder and chief executive David Karp took to the stage at Yahoo’s NewFront event for the first time ever yesterday (27 April). During his presentation he discussed Tumblr’s Sponsored Video product and the site’s Creatrs Network – a group of talented bloggers recruited by brands to help with campaigns. Yahoo bought Tumblr for over $1bn in 2014, at the time chief executive Marissa Mayer said that she wanted the two companies to “work together to create advertising opportunities that are seamless and enhance user experience”.
