O2 holds open 'cat casting' to find next star of Refresh billboard ad

By Natalie Mortimer O2 has held a ‘cat casting’ session to find the next cat to star in an upcoming billboard advert for its latest Pay Monthly Tariff Refresh campaign. The cats were shortlisted to audition at London’s Pineapple Studios after their owners submitted pictures of them smiling via social media. The cat who wins the title of ‘UK’s happiest cat’ will star in the next stage of O2’s £8m O2 Refresh advertising campaign, following its recent popular cat advertising. Police deny Ukip claims Have I Got News For You breached election rules

By John McCarthy Ukip accusations that comments made about partly leader Nigel Farage on BBC satire panel show Have I Got News For You broke election law, have failed to spark a police investigation. Journalist Camilla Long on the Friday (24 April) show claimed that Nigel Farage, who is running for the constituency of South Thanet in Kent, hardly ever visited the seat. Her statement read: “I went there more than Nigel Farage, by the time I arrived there he’d only been a few times,” was, according to Ukip, “inaccurate” and breached the BBC’s Representation of the People Act concerning general election impartiality. Donna Karan hires Apple creative director for new chief image officer role

By Natalie Mortimer New York-based fashion house Donna Karan International has appointed Apple’s former creative director of worldwide Hector Muelas to the newly created role of chief image officer. Muelas will be in charge of all areas of brand image, marketing and creative services for Donna Karan International as well as all digital platforms and e-commerce. Prior to joining Apple Muelas held creative and executive positions at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in Los Angeles and Wieden+Kennedy in Amsterdam where he developed creative for brands including Nike and Coca Cola.
