Eurosport €1.3bn deal to control Olympic coverage in Europe reboots IOC commercial model for the digital era

By Seb Joseph Eurosport owner Discovery Communications’ €1.3bn agreement with Olympic chiefs promises to bring the Games to more European screens that ever before, paving the way for flexible broadcast models that would allow brands to piggyback on the digital buzz surrounding the tournaments.
