The Drum Design Awards winners announced with NB taking this year's Grand Prix

By Natalie Mortimer NB Studio’s ‘Sign of the Times’ campaign for Spring Chicken has scooped the Grand Prix prize at the fourth annual The Drum Design Awards, which were held at London’s Marriott Grosvenor hotel. The agency’s campaign saw it redesign the famous ‘elderly people’ road sign to help the emerging online company raise brand awareness by creating a memorable and tangible brand experience. NB also picked up the award for Brand Campaign for the same work. Elsewhere Love was awarded with the Chairman’s Award for its work with LVMH on the brand’s Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial. Facebook's Q1 earnings leap 52% to hit $5.4bn

By Ronan Shields Facebook announced a 52 per cent annual leap in earnings during the last quarter amounting to $5.4bn, with revenues from mobile advertising accounting to 82 per cent of its total takings for the quarter. The social network’s total monthly active users (MAUs) were 1.65 billion as of the end of the reporting period (March 31, 2016), equating to an increase of 15 per cent year-on-year, with mobile MAUs totalling 1.51 billion during the same period, representing a 21 per cent year-on-year increase. McKinney wants you to wipe your butt with North Carolina’s discriminatory bathroom bill

By Minda Smiley Earlier this month, lawmakers in North Carolina passed a statewide bill that requires transgender people to use bathrooms that match the sex on their birth certificate, a move that has drawn national criticism for its discriminatory nature. To protest the controversial bill, called HB2, North Carolina-based McKinney has printed the entire bill on toilet paper rolls and is encouraging local businesses to install them in restrooms or use them as cocktail napkins, shopping bag tissue paper or decorations.
