By Michael Barnett Speaking at Marketing Week Live today (27 April), Marie Curie’s head of digital Claire Hazle argued that many brands face organisational barriers in making the most of their data to maximise the effectiveness of creative executions. “A lot of companies are not structured to benefit from bringing data and creativity together,” she said. She explained how at the charity her digital function acts as a “hub to bring teams together”, but added that this might not happen naturally at many companies. Metro takes subtle dig at The Sun with front page Hillsborough coverage

By John Glenday Free newspaper Metro has taken a sly dig at The Sun via today’s front page by apeing the style headline and imagery used in the red top’s infamous 1989 story which falsely accused Liverpool fans of being responsible for the stadium disaster. Headlined ‘The Truth’ The Metro devoted extensive coverage to an inquiry which has fully exonerated all 96 victims of the tragedy after a jury ruled they were ‘unlawfully killed’ with the police who had sought to divert blame to spectators now facing investigation.
