Tourism Ireland opens the door to Game of Thrones with season six campaign

By John McCarthy To coincide with the return of HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones on Sunday night, Tourism Ireland has activated a new campaign around the show where much of the show is shot in Northern Ireland. Building upon the creative aligned with last season, the new campaign kicks off with a series of 10 carved doors, depicting moments inspired by the forthcoming season as it progresses – in weekly activations. Clifford French chosen to lead Carlsberg's Euro 2016 Substitutes campaign

By Tony Connelly Carlsberg has chosen Clifford French to manage its Uefa Euro 2016 ‘if Carlsberg did substitutions’ campaign. The London-based sport and entertainment consultancy will manage Carlsberg’s earned media communications, talent and digital influencer amplification for the UK centric campaign. As part of Carlsberg’s sponsorship of the England team the ‘Substitutions’ campaign will see well-known local pub signs substituted with patriotic alternatives such as The Three Lions. Health tech is Nokia's next gambit as it looks intent to snap up Withings

By John McCarthy Former mobile giant cum wireless network specialists Nokia have set down a waypoint in its new drive to diversify its business with plans to acquire digital health firm Withings. The Finnish company claims it is looking to accelerate its “entry into digital health” with the $191m deal. Withings is a company known for creating “smarter products for healthy living”, all powered by the internet of things – hinting that Nokia is looking to enter the wearables market on the back of its wireless expertise. Mitsubish Motors admits rigging fuel efficiency in its cars since 1991

By John McCarthy Mitsubishi Motors is the latest auto maker to be scandalized following the falsification of its car specs, admitting that it has cheated fuel consumption tests since 1991. Following the VW emissions rigging that rocked the industry in 2015 sparking large fins globally and resulting in a reshuffle of the its upper echelons, the Japanese brand is the latest to come under scrutiny.
