Spotify is matching its listeners with Game of Thrones characters based on music preferences

By Minda Smiley Ahead of this weekend’s Game of Thrones premiere, Spotify is celebrating the return of the popular series by matching its listeners with a character from the HBO show based upon their musical preferences. Users can go to spotify-gameofthrones.com to find out which character they share musical tastes with. The music streaming site is using listener genre preferences to determine which character playlist a user is likely to enjoy most. Wieden+Kennedy, Set Creative walk away big winners as Portland celebrates evening of outstanding creativity

By Doug Zanger Portland’s premier evening celebrating the best in creativity, The Rosey Awards, presented by the Portland Advertising Federation (PAF) during Design Week Portland (DWP) did not disappoint. At the event, a total of 19 awards were doled out to a range of agencies doing work for a number of brands both in and outside of Oregon. By Thomas Hobbs Pret launched a new veggie pop-up After seeing sales of vegetarian items soar in 2015, Pret A Manger announced plans to launch ‘Pret’s Little Veggie Pop-up’ this week. The site will open in Soho in June for a month and only serve meat-free options, with Pret’s chief marketing officer Mark Palmer admitting that “permanent sites could follow”. The move comes after Pret’s CEO Clive Schlee wrote a blog last summer discussing the idea of opening new cafes that only serve non-meat options. McDonald’s applies ‘forensic analytics’ as it looks to replicate UK sales success globally

By Leonie Roderick McDonald’s saw global comparable sales increase 6.2% over the first quarter, while consolidated revenue decreased by 1%. The growth was led by strong performance in the UK, Australia and Canada. Meanwhile in the US, first quarter comparable sales increased 5.4%, fuelled by the ongoing popularity of its all day breakfast.
