By Jessica Goodfellow The Icelandic government is working to restrict its residents from offering Airbnb rentals of more than 90 days to temper concerns over visitor impact on its landscapes off the back of high tourist numbers in recent years. The government has proposed a tax on people who rent out properties through Airbnb for more than 90 days a year. The proposed legislation could become law this week. By Tony Connelly Traditional media outlets must shift their focus to social media platforms in order to more effectively reach readers, according to a new study by Pew Research Center which shows Facebook is now the dominant source for news. The ‘News Use Across Social Media Platforms 2016‘ report found that Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and even Snapchat have emerged as the go-to sources for news.
