Mo Farah reportedly closes charity as marketing and events spend bypasses investment in aid

By Jessica Goodfellow Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah has reportedly closed his charity after it emerged it had spent more on marketing and events than on delivering its promise to help children in Africa and the UK. The Mo Farah Foundation was set up by Farah and his wife Tania Nell in 2011 to combat poverty and provide aid to people in east Africa and the UK. The Sun claims trustees of the charity, including Farah, Nell and journalist Rageh Omaar, agreed it could no longer deliver on its promise and have closed the charity on this premise.
