Why OTT and holographic event company FOTV is going public

By Adam Flomenbaum FOTV, a holding group that features OTT network CinemaNow and the holographic production company Hologram USA, announced recently a NASDAQ IPO with a significant crowd financing component. Along with FilmOn TV and OVGuide, FOTV reaches 75 million unique monthly users. While FilmOn and CinemaNow are some of the longest running streaming services, Hologram USA is perhaps the most interesting FOTV holding. The unit holds the exclusive holographic rights to Tupac Shakur, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson, and plans on launching holographic shows at major events along with building dedicated hologram theaters. Here Maps teams up with car giants to display live traffic updates

By John Glenday Here is to introduce a new range of live traffic services to its suite of map products this week, the first fruits of a collaboration with car makers which enables individual vehicles to relay live information on road conditions. This data will enable drivers to build an up-to-date picture of traffic conditions on their route such as traffic jams, accidents, weather hazards and even temporary speed limits after competing manufacturers were convinced to collaborate for the first time. Mobile phones stir acrimony amongst one in three UK adults

By John Glenday The humble mobile phone has been implicated by one in three UK adults as the source of arguments with their partner; principally around over-use of the gadget, according to a new survey by Deloitte. Young adults aged 25-34 were found to be most at risk from the phenomena whilst over 65’s were least likely to come to verbal blows over texting, but mobile phone usage is now prevalent amongst all groups with four in five adults possessing one.
