Uber launches first brand campaign in India focusing on real life stories

By Charlotte McEleny Uber has launched its first brand campaign in India ‘move forward’, which aims to depict how the taxi hailing app can empower people to do more meaningful things. The campaign, created by BBH India, uses real life stories from customers and Uber drivers to show how the service is impacting people’s lives. The campaign focuses on online films but will also feature digital, print and outdoor. Advertising groups demand third-party oversight after Facebook is exposed for inflating video views

By Jessica Goodfellow Advertising groups are calling for third-party oversight in measurement following news that Facebook has been overinflating its video views for two years, meaning many advertisers have been misled over engagement time. The company admitted to the mistake on Thursday causing a wave of backlash from marketers and advertisers who had been buying false metrics for years. The social network revealed that its metric for the average time users spent watching videos was artificially inflated because it was only factoring in video views of more than three seconds.
