UK charity sector facing twelve month deadline to master digital engagement

By Michael Feeley The introduction of the new General Data Protection Regulation on 25 May 2018 is currently “a big cause for concern” among UK charities, according to a new white paper from digital consultancy ClearPeople. While previously it was acceptable for charities to send email communications based on implied consent, i.e. including easy opt-out functionality, the new regulations detail that all data subjects for marketing must provide explicit consent to receive communications and that the sender must be able to prove that consent has been given. Land Rover expands rugby sponsorship with Glasgow Warriors deal

By Tony Connelly Land Rover has broadened its rugby sponsorship portfolio after forming a new partnership with Glasgow Warriors. The three-year deal was announced today (26 April) at the Warriors’ Scotstoun Stadium and sees Land Rover become the official vehicle partner of the rugby union side. Under the terms of the agreement Land Rover’s branding will feature on the front and back of the Warriors playing shirts, beginning this Friday (28 April) when the Glasgow side travel to Dublin to face Leinster.
