Outbrain expands programmatic to AppNexus Marketplace

The service will allow AppNexus Marketplace customers to bid on Outbrain’s inventory. This move follows Outbrain’s launch of their partner network and Axel Springer signing a deal with AppNexus. Greenpeace Australia drums up support with an installation that defies gravity

The installation shows a polar bear perched on top of a slowly melting iceberg with a message inviting viewers to commit to supporting the fight against climate change via a donation or signing a petition as part of Greenpeace’s Save The Arctic imitative. Chinese court sentences two brothers to prison for extorting Taobao vendors

By Benjamin Cher The Guangdong Nanhai District People’s Court has sentenced two brothers to jail for extorting money from Taobao Vendors. Liang Tiejun and Liang Tiemin set up a fake domain and filed fraudulent intellectual property complaints against Taobao vendors with falsified proof and asked for takedowns from May to July 2016. The brothers would then approach the vendors and offer to withdraw the complaints for a “license fee.” This follows Alibaba calling for stronger action against counterfeiters, while counterfeit goods are even affecting Chinese brands.
