Sky News is reporting that trustee the Heart of England Forest Charity has been reviewing the future of the titles owned by the businessman. The report claims that the executors of the estate are in talks with advisory firm Allen & Co to court American media owners supposedly eyeing a stake in the Dennis owned titles – although it underlined that the company itself was not for sale. The stop-motion film accompanies what is reportedly the company’s biggest ever recycling campaign, supported by PR and social media activation. The TV commercial debuts on Channel 4 tonight (29 July) and will run on cinema, digital and social media throughout the summer. Saudi businessman takes major stake in The Independent

By John McCarthy Saudi investor Sultan Muhammad Abuljadayel has come to terms with UK publisher The Independent as he takes a major share in the company. The Middle East Eye reports that the 42-year-old has taken between a 25% and 50% stake in The Independent’s holding company, a move that will see him effectively run the publication alongside Russian billionaire Evgeny Lebedev. Google purges 20 Trojan Horse Play Store apps for spying on users

By John Glenday Google has taken decisive action against 20 Play Store apps after they were found to harbor malicious code capable of spying on those who downloaded the software.
