Uber agrees to a $245m settlement with Waymo over stolen self-driving technologies

By Taruka Srivastav Uber has finally reached a settlement with Google’s company Waymo after the latter claimed that Uber stole self-driving technology ideas from it. As reported by BBC, Uber is now handing over 0.34% of its share which is worth around $245m (£177m) to Waymo. Back in February 2017, Google company Waymo filed a lawsuit claiming its former employee Andrew Levandowski, who went on to co-found self-driving truck company Otto, which was acquired by Uber for $6000m, had stolen 14,000 documents containing information relating to the core technology used in its autonomous vehicles (LiDAR). Facebook tests downvote button to combat 'Fake News'

As reported by TechCrunch, the downvote button is a way for people to provide a signal to Facebook that a comment is inappropriate, uncivil, or misleading. On pressing the downvote button (as seen in the picture provided by Christina Hudler below), Facebook hides the comments and provides users options with like “Offensive”, “Misleading”, and “Off Topic”.
