By John Glenday Facebook has moved to purge hundreds of pages found to be linked with a Kremlin-backed news website, as it redoubles efforts to clear its name as a mouthpiece for foreign propaganda. The content in question was found to have breached Facebook policy by misleading readers and had been authored by Sputnik, a Kremlin-owned media brand which has regional editorial offices around the world including London, Edinburgh and Washington.
