Comcast says traditional TV viewing is up, but subscribers are down across the board

By Andrew Blustein Comcast Spotlight, the ad sales devision of cable giant Comcast, said the average American household watches six hours and 25 minutes of broadcast TV every day, which includes live and on-demand content. While Comcast’s study doesn’t break down total viewership by person, it did show that household viewing increased by over 20 minutes year-over-year across the cable company’s footprint of over 17 million homes in 65 US markets. But this rise in viewership doesn’t mean advertisers should jump for joy, as traditional TV providers are bleeding subscribers across the board. Advertisers shun Polish newspaper following ‘LGBT-free zone’ sticker stunt

By John Glenday Major companies ranging from software brand Squarespace to lingerie retailer Bravissimo have pulled their advertising from a right-wing Polish newspaper after it distributed offensive stickers marked ‘LGBT-free zone’ to its readers. Gazeta Polska drew heavy flak from the business community for its stunt after it was brought to international attention by the Stop Funding Hate social media campaign. Shopee taps into Singaporeans love for food in new initiative with Chope

Shopee will hold a National Day Sale from August 5-9, and adding around 100 dining deals to users, who can also choose more than 1,000 deals on the Chope Official Store on the platform.
