Only two of the FTSE100 use responsive web design, will over half not having mobile site

By Ishbel Macleod With Mobile World Congress currently taking place in Barcelona, it might come as a shock to discover that only two of the FTSE100 companies have responsive web design, and of the remaining 98, only 41 have a dedicated mobile site. Tesco and Morrisons – who both have a mobile site – topped the list, while Land Securities Group and Antofagasta gained brownie points for their responsive web design, ranking them sixth and 30th respectively, according to The Search Agency research. Volvo pilots car delivery service in form of ‘roam delivery’ app

By Natalie Mortimer Volvo Cars has created a new ‘roam delivery’ app that allows consumers to have their shopping delivered straight to their boot, thanks to a new digital key technology. Showcased this week at Mobile World Congress, the technology means that car owners will be able to choose their car as a delivery option when ordering goods online. Warner Bros. Records and Rhino turn up volume on media spend with MediaVest and ZenithOptimedia appointment

The pair of agencies, both part of the Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), will work collaboratively on the media strategy, analytics, planning and buying. SMG currently have a relationship with sister record agency Parlophone.
